Because the surge in Iraq has been a serious success, and B.O. is dedicated to radical Marxist attitudes and actions toward U.S. policies and particularly, the U.S. military, he’s got a problem.
How can he possibly keep his promise to remove all combat troops within his first year as president? He might dream of doing so, humiliating the nation and our military, but still…
Just exactly why would a leftist want to see the west lose a war against radical Islamists who would most certainly turn to our shores for more terror acts and probably demoralize the U.S. military, wounding our best hope for protection?

Obama is so far out that he might think he can remove the troops. My guess is that he’ll do what Hillary would have done, which is say she’ll remove them then come up with a good excuse the day after inauguration.

Hi Hank
I had to take a triple take to make sure it was really you. Welcome back to the front lines my friend!
It would be bad enough to call the Obamanation president, but can you imagine the damage those he brings with him can do? Think of Farrakhan as Secretary of State or Reverend Wright as Secretary of Defense. It’s like a bad B movie.

Hi Hank,
Good to see you back.
As to leftists and wanting us to loose, that’s easy and comes in two parts. Our liberals have detested the military since the 60s when the draft was a threat to their newly formed hedonist subculture. This hatred increased dramatically during the Vietnam War and, as we all know, liberals have great difficulty getting over anything. Their final point of contention is with the amount of money we spend on defense, which they feel would be better spent buying votes with Government give away programs. Also, a US defeat in Iraq and/or Afghanistan would would go a long way toward shifting public opinion back to their dream of a protectionist State, with its attendant expansion of over paid union jobs, and union votes.

Hi Neil,
Agreed..I’m certain it scalds some hiney with these people, but actually presiding over a war that’s WON would give them new legs in the defend your country camp. Or, they’ll shoot us in the back again.
Kind of cynical, aren’t I?

Hi Hank,
I ain’t that old! Well. OK, I am :) Dang but if an hour of splitting firewood this morning didn’t made me hurt in places I didn’t know I had!
As to your wife’s restrictions, don’t feel bad. My better half has me on a short leash were discussing politics and/or religion is concerned. Fortunately, she doesn’t read my blog :)
